In an effort to improve communication during a time when effective and accurate communication is vital, Madison County Emergency Management has implemented a new emergency notification service. According to Madison County Emergency Management Director Leigh Basford, this new service, called “ALERTMadison,” will not only provide greater service, it will be at a great cost saving to the County. By signing up for this free service, residents will receive accurate and timely information about possible severe weather, information following a disaster and more.
Most of those residents who had signed up under the old “Code Red” service are being moved to the ALERTMadison system automatically. The exception to that are those who requested information not to be shared. If anyone has any question if their contact information has been transferred, they can call the Madison County Emergency Management office at (850) 973-3698.
To register for this free alert service, simply click on the link on the Madison County home page at https://madisoncountyfl.com. Residents may also scan the provided QR code.
ALERTMadison is powered by AlertFlorida.
