Numerous chamber members and their guests enjoyed an evening out on the town for the return of Business After Hours, held by Jessica Webb's Grumpy's on Main Diner & Pie Shop. The event returned after it was canceled for two consecutive months, due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 in North Florida.
On Tuesday, June 16, guests were treated to a variety of refreshments, such as hoagie sandwiches, chips and dip and other delectables. As is custom with monthly Business After Hour events, five lucky guests walked away with door prizes. They were: Ken Parsons, who won a Grumpy's hat; Emerald Greene Parsons, a $10 Grumpy's gift card; Jeanne Bass, a Grumpy's t-shirt; Bob Auston, a $10 Grumpy's gift card; and Bob Wieland, Grumpy's Blackberry Jalapeno Jam.
Opened in the fall of 2018, Grumpy's on Main Diner & Pie Shop is certainly one of the most popular hot spots in Madison County for breakfast, lunch and even dinner on Friday nights. One can't forget the delicious baked goods and homemade jellies that are offered at the high-atmospheric restaurant. The diner is owned by Jessica Webb and is operated by local staff who take pride in offering great food and quality service. Grumpy's on Main Diner & Pie Shop is located at 244 SW Range Ave., in historic downtown Madison.
The next Business After Hours event will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at the American Legion Post No. 244, just yards away from the shores of Cherry Lake. If you sponsored an American flag that was flown between Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, your sponsored flag with a certificate will be issued. American Legion Post No. 224 is located at 4383 NE Cherry Lake Cir., in Cherry Lake.
The Business After Hours mixers have become popular social networking events offered in a casual, comfortable atmosphere. They are held on the third Tuesday of each month at the office location of a Chamber member. The mixers are an opportunity for Chamber members to form relationships, which strengthens community and friendship bonds.
