A Madison woman has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after being involved in a two-vehicle wreck, just blocks east of the Madison Police Department (MPD), on Thursday, March 12.
In a traffic incident report completed by MPD Officer Rowena Wewer, Pamela Myers-O'Toole, 61, was administered a DUI Test by Officer Fred Korey after admitting she had been drinking alcohol, after being involved in the accident, which occurred around 2:15 p.m.
O'Toole was traveling southbound on Hancock Street when she failed to yield a stop sign, according to the incident report. After failing to yield, O'Toole's 1999 Ford van made contact with the 1997 Ford pick-up driven by 80-year-old Willie Mitchell Jr., of Madison, who was traveling westbound on SW Rutledge Street.
O'Toole was transported to the Madison County Jail where she was charged with DUI. O'Toole was also cited for running a stop sign.
