On Monday morning, Oct. 30, at approximately 7:29 a.m., a Greenville resident was involved in an early morning collision involving a bicycle in Wakulla County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Jamie Rogers, 33, of Greenville was traveling westbound on US Hwy. 98 while Marysa Milinichik, 27, of Crawfordville was traveling eastbound in the bike path of US Hwy. 98. Rogers made a left turn into the parking lot of an Express Lane store when he turned into the path of Milinichik. Milinichik's bicycle collided with the right side of Rogers 2010 Ford Focus. Milinikchik was thrown from the bicycle and landed in the eastbound travel lane of US Hwy. 98. Rogers vehicle stopped facing southwest in the driveway of the Express Lane store.
Milinichik was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Charges are currently pending investigation. Assisting the scene was Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, Wakulla EMS, Wakulla Fire Rescue, and US Fish and Wildlife Conservation.
