A Lee woman suffered a medical event that caused her to lose control of her vehicle on Hemmerly Street on September 16 at 12:40 p.m., in Madison. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Mary Brooks, 44, of Lee, Fl. was traveling eastbound on Hemmerly Street, when her 1997 Ford Taurus traveled onto the north shoulder. The front of the vehicle collided with a barbwire fence. The vehicle continued traveling north on the shoulder and the front of the vehicle struck a tree. The report states that Brooks suffered a medical event that caused her to lose control of her vehicle. She was transported to Madison County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Her passengers, Jordan Brooks, 25, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia and Josh Brooks, 10, of Lee, Fl. also received minor injuries and were transported to the Madison County Memorial Hospital.
