It’s always interesting to see what legislation lawmakers will propose during a legislative session.
Currently, in the Agriculture, Conservation & Resiliency Subcommittee is House Bill 753, which seeks to have the American flamingo supersede the mockingbird as the official state bird.
The one-page bill gives no reason for the proposed change, whose companion legislation, Senate Bill 918, also is in committee.
