Only the earliest of risers would see it come on. Its brightness pierced the grey dawn, revealing a sign put there by the Sinclair Oil company as a courtesy for selling their gas and for showing hours of operation as well. With this signal that the little store was now open, sleepy faces began to appear, desperate for a shot of "black willpower" to take the early out of their day.
