Madison High School cheerleaders for the 1966-1967 school term were chosen last week. A-team cheerleaders are Fran Harrison, Sherrie Dickinson, Mary Frances Christmas, Cissy Cherry, Dana French, LaMoyne Hancock, Claire Cooke and Ruth Tomlinson. On the B-team, the cheerleaders are Laura Schoelles, Jean Morrow, Beverly Hughes, Betty Neughton, Peggy Clark, Debbie Rutherford and alternate Susan Herndon.
Sunday evening the Double “O” Pond was the scene of an Easter Egg Hunt. Attending the party were: Mr. and Mrs. Kater Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Burns and girls, Mr. and Mrs. Eustis Kelley and Andy, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kelley and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Plane, Mr. J.B. Kelley and Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Burns and daughter of Live Oak. After the eggs were all found, sandwiches, cookies, cake and soft drinks were served. Everyone had a wonderful time.

A snapshot at the 3-hour City Commissioner meeting Tuesday night, shows hamlet leaders, where they ok’d $80,000 for recreation in a revised- downward front-request to HUD.
Mr. and Mrs. Larrie Cherry, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Cherry and Lee and Mr. and Mrs. Greg Whitfield attended the Florida Poultry Days at Disney World on April 2 and 3. Larrie Cherry received the Grand Rooster Award for the tenth year. Carson Cherry received a first-year award. To receive the award, $1,000 worth of tickets must be sold to the Poultry Days. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Darrow Auto and children of Greenville, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pickenpaugh and children of Monticello.
Aucilla Christian Academy is proud to announce that two of the ninth-grade English students have had poems accepted for publication in the annual anthology of high school poetry, Young America Sings. Leslie Lamb is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nate Curtis of Madison. Leslie has been interested in writing poetry for the past few years. Fran Beggs is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Beggs of Madison. Fran has always been interested in reading and writing poetry.
