Madison County’s historical museum, the Treasures of Madison County, is seeking volunteers to help man the museum. Volunteers should be able to dedicated two hour shifts from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., or 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday; or from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Days and hours can be flexible and volunteers may work one or more days, or one day per month.
Duties will include opening or closing the museum, greeting and speaking with visitors, handling the sale of merchandise, answering the phone and possibly other light duties. Knowledge of local history is helpful, but not required. Potential volunteers are reminded that this cannot be used for community service or high school credit.
