On Friday, Oct. 23, there will be a pair of Veterans’ support group meetings held at the American Legion Post 422, in Lee. The first meeting, scheduled for 1 p.m., will be a co-ed meeting featuring an opportunity for art expressions through cigar box art. This will be a time of sharing personal challenges and successes, as well as learning techniques to help reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. The second meeting, taking place at 2:30 p.m., will be for women and is in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This meeting will offer women who have served a safe and supportive space.
