On Thursday, June 8, Union County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Deputies arrested Troy Carter Goodman, II, for the charge of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon which resulted in serious bodily injuries.
Goodman II, 18 years of age from Chiefland, Fla., was arrested by Madison County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Union County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, June 8, at around 2 p.m.
Investigation revealed that Goodman, attended the “Pop-Up Party” on Saturday, June 3, in Lake Butler, Fla. Goodman fired multiple rounds toward the victim, striking the victim and causing great bodily harm. Investigation revealed that the victim was targeted by Goodman II over a previous disturbance in another county.
Goodman, was booked into the Madison County Jail awaiting transportation to the Union County Jail, where he is currently under a $500,000 bond.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Chiefland Police Department for assisting in the location and apprehension of this dangerous fugitive.
