Katherine Johnson, 38, of Madison, had her day in court on Monday, June 5, at the Madison County Courthouse, in front of the Honorable Judge Melissa Olin. In a case that dated back to 2016, Johnson pled guilty to the charge of Grand Theft in the third degree and was sentenced to 60 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections. Johnson also admitted to violating her previous probation. She was given 78 days of credit for times previously served. She was assessed $250 in court-related costs, which were transferred to a civil lien.
Johnson had been previously assessed $2,293 in court-related costs, none of which has been paid.
