Introduction:
“Inside Out 2” is the second movie in the Inside Out franchise. It was released on June 14, 2024, to the United States market. “Inside Out 2” is a coming-of-age film, focused on Riley (Kensington Tallman), a young girl who has just hit puberty and is heading into high school. Inside her head, the emotions, Joy (Amy Poehler), Disgust (Liza Lapira), Fear (Tony Hale), Anger (Lewis Black) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith), are shocked when their control room is rebuilt for incoming emotions, Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser), Ennui (Adele Exarchopoulos), Envy (Ayo Edebiri) and Anxiety (Maya Hawk). With Riley growing up, these new and complicated emotions are difficult for her to navigate. What ensues is an emotionally wrought film, as audiences once again journey through the mind of Riley as she grows up. Be aware, there are SPOILERS in the following review.
