I have recently started my research for my Master’s Degree, and it has been a roller coaster, to say the least. Getting the project started in the first place took some time since some of the data being used previously was not working, and there were other issues on top of that. Once everything was settled and I was able to start doing my own work, I thought everything was going well. Until it didn’t. My professor checked on some things that I had questions about and, turns out, the data still wasn’t correct, so I had to reset everything and try again.
This happened over several days, so there was a lot of work lost over this. However, my professor and I worked through it and made sure everything was as close to perfect as possible before starting again. This time, everything went pretty smoothly and I finished the first part of the workload at the beginning of this week. Because of the issues we had the first time, I was able to fix some things on the go as I went through, which made the end result even better than originally planned. If I hadn’t gone through the restarting process and learned from the mistakes made beforehand, I would’ve still had to fix some things in the long run. However, because I tried again after failing, everything turned out exceptionally well.
