The Game of Life: College Edition: Personality = places

I’ve started my big girl job this week, and it has been nonstop since the first day. I’ve been bouncing around between watching training videos and being shown how to test materials and overall procedures. I even got the opportunity to sit in on a meeting between our office and some higher ups from South Florida. They let me get a few words in solely because of my personality, and actually commended me on it. The technical aspects of this job and any job or class is not always easy, but having good work ethic and showing my determination has always gotten me through, and gotten me the help I needed if it came down to it. This job is no different. Even with my first week, I’ve had my peers and superiors show gratitude for my willingness to learn and my excitement for the change. I told them I’m just happy to have a job!
Even though this just began, I can tell that not everybody shows their personality in the workplace, and that makes things a little boring, if I’m being honest. Even my coworkers have told me to keep it up, as being personable is going to get me a long way. This advice is something I will carry forward for the rest of my career, so I felt it was worth sharing with my dear readers. Don’t let any job, class or event dim your personality. Be you, no matter the situation! Your personality will take you places you would never expect.
