I have officially hung up my cleats.
I have played ball for about 17 years and it’s definitely been a challenge, but I loved it. I loved it so much that I started coaching a couple of summers ago. That being said, my collegiate experience was the hardest experience with ball that I’ve had. It was four years of learning curves, and those curves felt like they were coming at me a million miles an hour. But I’ve pushed through. I made it! I’m proud of myself and my determination. At the end, I had teammates tell me I was the best teammate they’ve ever had. My coach told me I’m leaving this place better than I found it. That’s all I could ever ask for. I even got to end my career on the field with some of my childhood best friends who played on the other team. Everything came full circle, and that was definitely no coincidence.
