...I know I’ve written other columns about finding good friends and keeping them. However, while this one is also about good friends, I’d like to note that good company can shift. Some of your closest people may move away, or life just adds distance between you. When that happens, don’t fret, God will send you more amazing people in the coming months.
All of my closest friends on the softball team have graduated, leaving me behind with no one I would exactly call a ‘best friend’ on the team. However, in that loss came the finding of my line-dancing friends who I did not expect to get along with so easily nor be around so much. Even now that summer is over, there are a few that I still get dinner with or just hangout while I do homework and they online shop (they are all older than me and have big-girl jobs). Those people are a good group of company that I didn’t expect to find or continue on with as we made the transition from summer to fall, yet here we are. If you have a hard time making friends or feel like everyone you were friends with has moved on to other things, don’t stress too much. God will make sure you find good company on this earth soon enough. He won’t leave you hanging.
