This time of year is typically the most hectic for college students because of finals in between Thanksgiving and Christmas break. That being said, I set a goal for myself to still make sure I prioritize things I like doing, such as working out. To keep myself accountable in doing so, I went ahead and scheduled 7 a.m. workouts for myself with our strength coach while I’m still in Pensacola. He sure won’t let me get away with missing! Making a schedule for myself ahead of these crazy weeks really helps in calming my mind and ensuring that I am making enough time for what needs to be done. Doing that in everyday life is a lot easier said than done, but I promise you, it can be accomplished. Other things might need to be shifted around or even cut out in order to get the top priority items completed, but to be happy and successful in your life, you must be willing to make those sacrifices. It also feels a lot better when you’re making these changes yourself (without having someone else telling you to do it) and I feel like there’s a higher level of accomplishment felt upon doing so. At the end of the day, you are responsible for your actions and for making time to do the things that you want (or need) to do. So why not go for it? It’s “full send” time, as they say nowadays, so why not give your full efforts to making your schedule with intent? Keep these things in mind as we head into the last month of this year. It could help you start the new year on an even better note!
