Suspect shoots himself during standoff

According to information provided by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), on Thursday, Feb. 19, at approximately 6:30 p.m., MCSO investigators received word from the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office that a man with active warrants was possibly in Madison County. The man was wanted in connection with sex crimes involving a minor. MCSO investigators located the individual at an address on NE Juniper Drive, in Lee. When law enforcement arrived at the address an individual, later identifi
