The Student Government Association (SGA) at Madison County High School (MCHS) will be hosting a political debate among the candidates seeking the office of Superintendent of Schools in Madison County. The debate will take place in the MCHS gym on Tuesday, Oct. 25, beginning at 6 p.m.
SGA President Simeria Alexander will serve as moderator for the debate and will be assisted by Senior Class President Pebbles Hart, who will serve as timekeeper. Participating in the debate will be candidates Marcus Hawkins, Sr., Gwendolyn Hubbard, Karen Pickles, and Jeffrey “Mr. V” Veilleux. According to Alexander, questions posed to the candidates will come from MCHS students along with input from teachers and people within the community.
The event is free and open to the public.
