St. John’s Baptist to launch AA meetings

Bryant Thigpen Contributor St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church is excited to announce the launch of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon as a ministry to help those who struggle with alcohol abuse. The first meeting will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m., in the church’s fellowship hall, located at 5905 N.W. Lovett Rd., in Greenville. This ministry will be led by Mike McHargue, administrator and treasurer, with AA leader Daniel Hunt. Both McHargue and Hunt have a heart to reach those who
