Shine with purpose
I tried multiple ways to avoid the chores of childhood. Somehow, the outdoors seemed more promising than the load of laundry that needed folding (it still does). Drying the dishes could never compare to riding my bicycle to the neighbor's house for a baseball game. But, as I grew older, I realized that the everyday tasks I once resisted were not just burdens but opportunities to serve and contribute to my family. It was also a time of learning how to care for my own family as a wife and mother.Â
