Madison County Sheriff's Office announced the dates for the 11th Annual Youth Adventure Camp. The camp will be held from Tuesday, June 27 through Thursday, June 29. The hours of the camp are from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
The drop-off and pick-up location will be at the Madison Church of God. This camp is offered to boys and girls between the ages of eight and seventeen looking for adventure this summer. The camp includes faith-based mini-leadership training sessions that encourage teamwork, structure, love and discipline. The camp will offer activities such as swimming, kayaking, defensive tactics, archery, confidence-building courses, firearms safety and marksmanship, emergency preparedness and other life skills. The camp will also have demonstrations and hands-on teaching by the Sheriff's Office and local Public Safety Partners, including K9 demonstrations and tracking, fire safety, wildlife familiarization and management. MCSO Personnel will instruct camp sessions. State and Local Agencies will also participate in instructing.
This camp is free to participants and is funded through the Sheriff's Office Charities, private and business donations. If anyone wishes to donate to the camp, please contact Tammy at the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
Registration for the camp starts on Monday, May 15 and runs until Friday, May 26. Participants must register at the Madison County Sheriff's Office. The Madison County Sheriff's Office is located at 2364 W U.S. 90. Registration is limited to the first fifty children that apply.
