Selective Service registration is set to become automatic in December

Historically, most American men between ages 18 and 25 have been required to register themselves with the SSS in case a military draft is called. However starting December 2026, those in the required group are set to automatically be registered for the military draft. The automatic registration is part of the National Defense Authorization Act that was signed into law
