School Superintendent eyes budget cuts

During the regular meeting of the Madison County District School Board on Monday, June 1, Madison County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Pickles said she was looking to cut $630,000 from the budget. “I’ve pretty much already cut a lot of stuff,” said Dr. Pickles. “Anytime somebody resigns or retires, I kind of take that position. We’ll have to shuffle people around. Not cutting classroom at all.” Board Member Carol Gibson bro
