School Superintendent eyes budget cuts

Rick Patrick rick@greenepublishing.com   During the regular meeting of the Madison County District School Board on Monday, June 1, Madison County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Pickles said she was looking to cut $630,000 from the budget. “I’ve pretty much already cut a lot of stuff,” said Dr. Pickles. “Anytime somebody resigns or retires, I kind of take that position. We’ll have to shuffle people around. Not cutting classroom at all.” Board Member Carol Gibson bro
