Rotarians hear about paratroopers

During the regular meeting of the Madison Rotary Club on Wednesday, May 6, the members heard an interesting presentation on the role and history of military paratroopers. Since the days of World War II, troops have been dropped from aircraft when terrain and the need for surprise requires troops to be inserted into an area through the air. Parachuting soldiers have also been used in the area of rescue work.
