Putnam’s statement on concealed weapons

Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam issued the following statement regarding the Virginia Attorney General’s announcement that he will be revoking its reciprocity agreement with 25 states for concealed weapon licenses: “The real losers of the Virginia Attorney General’s decision are law-abiding gun owners in half the states in our country. Florida has more than 1.4 million concealed weapon licenses and our crime rate is at a 44-year low.
