The movie that was filmed in Madison last summer has been released for showing in Madison this Friday, April 1. Prayer Never Fails is a gripping legal drama that was filmed almost entirely in Madison, utilizing local talent and locations. Sweet Unknown Studios, the production company for the film, chose Madison because they saw the beauty and charm of the city and kindness of the local people.
The company was in Madison through the month of July and about 100 locals were cast in various roles and positions in the movie. After a premiere showing here in November, in which feedback was used to produce the final cut, the film was released in select theaters in January. The movie's release on DVD is scheduled later this fall. In the meantime, the film was accepted into the International Christian Film festival and was nominated for best screenplay by Writer/Director Wes Miller and best actor Clifton Davis.
Prayer Never Fails will be shown at the Main Street Playhouse and Event Center on Friday, April 1 at 8 p.m. following the monthly “Get Your Madison On” downtown event.
