Pickett Lake Camp, a beloved retreat known for its scenic lakefront, rustic cabins, and programs that bring together faith, fellowship, and fun, is preparing for a major transition in leadership. Located at 247 SE Salvation Rd. Branford, Fla. Pickett Lake camp has served generations of families as a place to combine outdoor adventure with Christian teaching. Each year, the camp season typically begins in June and runs through mid August, welcoming children and teens from elementary ages through high school. In addition to youth programs the camp also hosts church groups, retreats and community events, making it a year-round resource for fellowship and growth. After years of service, Camp Director Tim Kinsey has announced his plans to retire on Aug. 31, 2026, after 36 years of devoted service. His leadership has shaped the camp into a place where youth and families create lasting memories while deepening their faith. Reflecting on his time at the camp, Kinsey shares, “I’ve been blessed to be here for 36 years, changing lives by teaching kids the acceptance of Christ, and being given the opportunity to provide a facility to commune with God and all groups catering to nearly everyone.”
