Patricia Ann Kauffman, 86, passed away on June 3, 2024 in Madison, Fla., surrounded by family in her home. Patricia was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Crestline, Ohio, to Clarence Moyer and Anna Hurson Moyer. After growing up in Ohio, she moved with her husband to Florida, where they started their farm.
Pat loved to ride her Harley-Davidson motorcycle all around the country, and was a lifetime member of the Motor Maids. She also enjoyed spending time gardening, cooking, sewing and farming. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family, and she especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. When growing up, she learned how to efficiently take care of the farm which involved caring for the cows, horses, pigs and every animal you can find. She loved horseback riding. She was well known as Miss Pat throughout the community. Pat grew up in the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church for many years. She worked as a school bus driver with Aucilla Christian Academy and Madison County. She also worked as a cafeteria worker in between her bus routes. Pat worked cleaning the Greenville Post Office for 20 years. She is remembered there for being the best at keeping the office clean and smelling great.
