According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), on Wednesday, March 27, at approximately 1:10 p.m., a tractor-trailer, driven by a 35-year-old Gulfport, Miss. man was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10. For unknown reasons, the semi-tractor trailer drifted onto the southern shoulder of the roadway and collided with several concrete traffic barriers near mile marker 246, in Madison County. This collision caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and the vehicle overturned onto its right side. The crash resulted in both eastbound lanes being closed during recovery and cleanup of the vehicle and scene. Traffic was routed off the interstate at the 241 exit. No injuries were associated with this incident.
