Officer-involved shooting closes interstate ramp

Rick Patrick rick@greenepublishing.com During the mid-morning hours of Friday, April 17, the exit ramp at exit 251 on Interstate 10 was closed for an extended period of time due to a shooting involving a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) officer. As is customary, any time there is an officer-involved shooting, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement has been called in by the FHP to investigate the matter. As of press time, this remains an active investigation and no further information is availab
