Tanner Ottey, a student at Madison Creative Arts Academy, recently came home excited to share with his mom the newspaper he was given in class that day. His mother, Tiffany, expressed how excited he was to read from the newspaper when he got home. The newspapers are provided to classrooms at no cost by Greene Publishing, Inc., as part of the “Newspapers in Education” nationwide learning program. Greene Publishing, Inc. offers the Newspapers in Education program to schools in Madison and Jefferson counties through their local publications, the Madison County Carrier and The Monticello News. “More local newspapers equals less AI garbage,” said Tiffany.
