Many times in this column space, I write about history and biblical topics. Our heritage is frequently forgotten, overlooked, ignored or falsely altered. I try my best to set the record straight. We are a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles, which are very dear to me, and I look for opportunities to pass this insight on to my readers in hopes that you might be better informed and help spread the word.
Tomorrow, we will celebrate Thanksgiving, one of our most popular holiday traditions. People will travel in record numbers to reunite with their families over a long weekend and celebrate good cheer. Some will deviate into political discussions or create some other kind of rancor – I hope not. This is a time to look for things that unite us rather than divide. How does the saying go? “Blood is thicker than water.”
