Women’s sports have been active in our nation and protected for at least fifty years. They are widespread and result in many scholarship opportunities for women. Girls begin training at an early age to develop their athletic talent in sports like gymnastics, swimming, golf, tennis and soccer in hopes of promoting their young careers and opening new doors of opportunity. While there are not many professional opportunities for women in sports, they have many chances to play at high school and college level.
This is under threat as more biological males claiming to be women are entering women’s sports and competing for scholarships and championships. A recent worldwide study tells us that biological men competing against women have claimed more than 900 medals in the past couple of years. Simply put, these males are bigger, stronger and faster than their female counterparts. Competing against other men, they are mediocre, but against women, they often finish first. It isn’t fair, and it isn’t safe.
