One of my pet peeves are elitists, people that think they’re better in some way or every way than the rest of us. It seems like a preponderance of these people are rich and live in protected communities. Maybe they are “trust fund babies” that qualify as “rich and famous.” I’m biased. I don’t like them and what they stand for.
The late radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh used to say that people like us live “in flyover country” where the elitists fly from coast to coast and ponder the wide-open country where so many of us live. They live in their little bubble of wealth and privilege and are clueless about the things that concern most of the country. They’re far from the chaos at the southern border. Crime, inflation, high gas prices, etc. are simply not a problem for them.
