National and world events from 2025

It was another busy year in terms of headlines in 2025. Here’s a look back on some of the major events that took place in the nation and around the world.  January  • Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Jan. 20. The ceremony was moved inside to the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol building, due to extremely cold temperatures in Washington D.C. This marked only the second time in U.S. history that a president had been elected to non-consecutive terms.
