After a suspected Aug. 6 argument between an uncle and his nephew that resulted in the fatal shooting of the uncle, Gregory Williams, of Madison, the Madison Police Department (MPD) reports that the suspect has turned himself in.
On Thursday, Sept. 15, Chief Reggie Alexander received a call from Kendrick Richardson's mother, stating that Richardson, 23, of Madison, wanted to turn himself in for the shooting. Within minutes, Richardson arrived at the MPD, where he was interviewed by Det. William Sircy. He was later booked into the Madison County Jail and charged with second-degree murder. The investigation is still ongoing.
