The Madison Police Department responded to 1,947 calls in October. This is 395 less calls received than in September. Since January 2015, the department has received 18,306 calls for service. There were 19 reported felonies, 39 reported misdemeanors and 125 incidents reports. Of the 125 incidents reported there were two burglaries, one battery (domestic violence), two aggravated assaults, one simple assault and three drug arrests. The department cleared 15 felonies and 25 misdemeanors. There were 122 warning citations issued. 12 criminal citations were issued and 14 non-criminal citations were issued. The department investigated 11 traffic accidents.
