The Madison Police Department responded to 2,342 calls in September. This is 457 more calls received than in August. Since October 2014, the department has received 22,892 calls for service. There were 22 reported felonies, 38 reported misdemeanors and 100 incidents, reports. Of the 100 incidents reported there were 10 burglaries, one battery (domestic violence) and two drug arrests. The department cleared four felonies and 23 misdemeanors. There were 123 warning citations issued. Five criminal citations were issued and 49 non-criminal citations were issued. The department investigated nine traffic accidents.
