Frank and Christynn Suarez, owners of Mimosa Boutique, and their three children moved to Madison in January of 2020. They are originally from Clermont, Fla., but fell in love with our quaint little town. Christynn describes Madison as a town right out of a Hallmark movie, especially around the holidays.
Frank and Christynn have been married for 16 years and have three children: Jaiden (15), Caelynn, (13) and Lucas (7). Aside from Mimosa Boutique, they also own a janitorial cleaning service they have been operating in Orlando for the last five years.
The inspiration for Mimosa really came from Caelynn who, when shopping at a nearby boutique, stated that she hoped one day their family could have a business in Madison. With that, Frank and Christynn saw the perfect opportunity and began helping Caelynn develop the business. Caelynn is in the eighth grade at Melody Christian Academy and works in the boutique in the afternoons after school. She also spent her whole summer, before the boutique opened, planning out ideas and setting up shop. Frank and Christynn are very proud of her and enjoy watching her operate the business. They make sure to teach her about budgeting and how to run a business so it can be profitable. Christynn assists Caelynn in ordering product items for the store and is teaching her how to have a keen eye for detail when it comes to product, with the goal that everyone in the community feels welcome to shop.
Mimosa Boutique also offers to order whatever you are looking for, even if they are unable to carry it in the store, as they want to be able to cater to everyone in the community.
Mimosa has been open since March of this year and they are now including a military inspired man-cave, since Frank is a part of the Marine Corps. This military man-cave offers just about anything you may need when it comes to personal safety with or around guns, as well as some clothing items. If there is anything that you would like to purchase, but don't see it, they will order what you need.
With Frank being part of the military, Mimosa Boutique will be donating 15 percent of their proceeds and matching that from their janitorial business to “The Wounded Warrior Foundation,” from September through December.
When asked about naming the boutique, Frank and Christynn looked at each other with gleaming smiles. Christynn's family is fond of drinking mimosas and some of her favorite memories are centered around spending time with family and having a mimosa. She wanted to choose a name that was relative to family to add her own little personal twist to the boutique.
Mimosa Boutique is very charming, but the Suarez family gives it that extra little sparkle and you feel welcome from the moment you walk in to their family business with a true family feel.
Mimosa Boutique is located at 114 SW Range Ave, downtown Madison. You can also reach them by calling (850) 800-9098 or (850) 757-0023.
