According to a report from Madison County Fire Rescue (MCFR) Chief Alan Clayton, firefighters responded to a call of a fire at 155 SE Call Dr., in Lee. The call came in at 12:17 a.m. on Monday, March 27. When firefighters arrived at the scene, a house and a shed were fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters battled the blaze until it was finally brought under control at 1:39 a.m.
In addition to units from MCFR, the Lee Volunteer Fire Department also responded. Chief Clayton also acknowledged mutual aid assistance from the Hamilton County and Suwannee County Fire Departments.
The fire resulted in a total loss of the structure. There were no injuries or fatalities reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
