The Middle Florida Baptist Association (MFBA) held its 123rd Annual Meeting on Sunday, Oct. 9, at Lee First Baptist Church. The well-attended gathering enjoyed uplifting reports, messages and a fantastic meal. Speakers included Timmy Dyke, from Ability 1st; Jenny Starling, from A Women's Pregnancy Center; and Rev. Aaron Hale, from First Baptist Church of Madison. Also, David Garrett was introduced as the new Associational Missions Strategist. He also delivered a message entitled “Moving Forward.”
The ever-colorful Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) Director, Iris Wesson, shared with the group about the upcoming Operation Christmas Child project. She presented volunteer opportunities and further information to help make local efforts successful. This ministry is sponsored by Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse and provides millions of shoeboxes to children all over the world. The boxes are filled with needed supplies, gifts and the gospel message, all items that are sure to brighten the lives of everyone they reach.
AWPC Director Jenny Starling gave the audience an update on the ministry and services of A Women's Pregnancy Center, in Madison. She also thanked the churches of the MFBA for their continued support and prayers for the ministry.
