During the week of Monday, March 14, four deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were honored and received national recognition in Reno, NV by the National Criminal Enforcement Association (NCEA) during the fifth annual National Interdiction Conference.
The NCEA compares statistical information regarding the nation’s officers and their activities and then formally recognizes them annually before their peers. The NCEA also offers specialized advance training officers in the nation.
MCSO Drug Task Force Sergeants Bobby Boatwright and Jarrod Lauth were awarded plaques and recognition for capturing the title of Largest Flakka Seizure in the nation made by a street level enforcement unit during 2015.
Lieutenant Doug Haskell and Deputy Brandon Goldman, in the Criminal Interstate Enforcement division, were also recognized and awarded plaques for the Largest Prescription Medication Seizure and also received commendation and honor amongst their peers and nationally for the Largest Fraud Related Seizure in the nation made by an interstate enforcement unit during 2015.
Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart applauded the recognition of the officers. The dedication and actions of these officers are another example of the Sheriff’s Office personnel that continually demonstrate and emulate the integrity and professionalism that is cultivated within the MCSO.
On behalf of the citizens of Madison County, Sheriff Stewart expressed his gratitude and appreciation for being allowed to work with the men and women of such upstanding caliber.
