Mya Mason is a twelve-year-old artist from Madison County who found her passion when she was just seven-years-old. She began doing crafts with her mother and blossomed from there into painting. She loves portraits and experimenting with new paints.
Mason does different types of art, including portraits, landscapes and abstracts. As talented as she is now, her family believes that she will grow into an artistic force to be reckoned with.
Mason was asked to do a landscape painting of Donnie Waldrep's pond, and she recently went out to take photos of the scene. After completing her landscape painting, she gifted it to Waldrep, who was absolutely thrilled. “No amount of money would ever convince me to sell that painting,” said Waldrep.
