HI, I am Marie Risoli Smith, candidate for Property Appraiser. I am a lifelong resident of Madison County, and the 4th generation to live and work on our family ranch, raising commercial beef cattle. I have been happily married for 21 years to Travis Smith and together we have one son, Blaine who is 18. I am an active member of the Big Bend Cattlewomen’s Association; I have always enjoyed volunteering my time with youth organizations such as Babe Ruth baseball/softball and junior rodeo. I began my career with the Madison County Property Appraisers office in November of 2001 as a field appraiser and I am currently the direct assistant to the Property Appraiser. I appreciate the opportunity provided by Greene Publishing to speak to you all today. My goal is to prove to you that my years of experience and vast knowledge of this office make me the most qualified candidate to protect the interest of the property owners of Madison County.
