The Madison Police Department (MPD) shared a social media post announcing that they will soon be launching a Police Explorer Program, hopefully by the end of 2026. They are in search of five participants between the ages of 14 and 21 to become members of the program, which costs $85.
During this program, members will ride in patrol vehicles with officers, learn about gun safety and learn the day-to-day responsibilities of MPD officers. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the field of law enforcement, especially high schoolers. This program will cost $85, which goes to the Suwannee River Area Council to cover membership fees. Sponsorship options are also available.
