During felony court proceedings at the Madison County Courthouse on Monday, Aug. 14, Tony Hall, 51, of Madison, had his day in court on two counts of animal cruelty. With Judge Wesley Douglas presiding, Hall was sentenced to 60 days in jail, with two days of credit for time served, plus three years of probation. He was also ordered to pay a total of $2,565 in fines and court costs, which includes a $1,000 donation to the local animal shelter. Hall was also ordered to possess no animals.
