The Fourth of July tradition of celebrating around Lake Frances was kept up for this year's holiday. The Madison Lions Club, in collaboration with various other vendors and community organizations, was able to hold yet another successful event for the Fourth of July. Equipped with live music performed by The Blues Factor Band, Lake Frances had several vendors and members of the community with food, snow cones, jewelry and more. The Lions Club was thrilled at the turnout and thankful for the support from the community. They wanted to thank all of the vendors, as well as the Madison Police Department, Madison County Fire Rescue, Madison County Solid Wastes and Pop's Sanitation. The band sponsor was J & J Strong, with J.P. Moore as the emcee. The fireworks sponsors included Madison County Community Bank, Johnson & Johnson and Adams Moon Lake Ranch.
“Thanks to all of the Lions, Leo volunteers and Madison departments,” said Mayor and Lions Club member Ina Thompson. “Special thanks to all of the sponsors. Without them, this event would not be possible. [They] had the Madison community dancing in the street!” Overall, the event was fun and successful, and the Lions Club is excited for next year.
