Madison County High School Salutatorian: Jonas Chirinos-Sanchez, Jr.

Rick Patrick rick@greenepublishing.com For Madison County High School (MCHS) senior Jonas Chirinos-Sanchez, Jr., time spent with friends has been the most enjoyable aspect of his time at MCHS. The Salutatorian of the Class of 2024 has had plenty of opportunities to make friends through his involvement in the Beta Club and by helping to provide drone footage for the MCHS football team. Chirinos-Sanchez helped the MCHS Beta Club earn a national championship with the Robotics Team. He has had the opportunity to get a head start on his college career by taking classes at North Florida College as a dual enrollment student. He plans to enter the University of Florida this summer as a Computer Science major. “Don’t be scared,” is the advice he would give his younger self if he could travel back in time. He would also urge his younger self to be able to “look his parents in the eye without shame or regret.” He is the son of Jonas Chirinos-Aleman and Antonia Sanchez-Morreno.
